The 2013/14 MTC Namibia Premier League will burst into life  next week Wednesday after taking a one month breather during the Christmas and the New Year holidays.
Early pacesetters Tigers will hope to discover their winning ways when they come face to face with local rivals Tura Magic on Wednesday 22 January at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. Tigers lost their last match going into the Christmas holiday 0-1 to former champions African Stars. Tura Magic also come into the match hoping to collect maximum points after suffering an identical 0-1 defeat at the hands of second from bottom Ramblers. Eighth placed Tura Magic are tied on points with United Stars and Civics at 11 points and are only in that position courtesy of an inferior goal difference. Civics and United stars are on sixth and seventh position respectively.

The Tigers/Tura Magic will be followed by the explosive encounter between Champions Black Africa and African Stars at the same venue on Friday 24 January. Arguably the pick of the round 10 matches, the match between the two giants will prove a litmus test for Black Africa as they prepare to play South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in February in the CAF Champions League.
Other fixtures will see struggling Eleven Arrows host United Stars while Civics have a date with LHU Blue Waters. If Blue Waters win the match by more than two goals, they will move above the Mighty Civilians on the log standings.
Log anchors Rundu Chiefs will host Ramblers in a battle of the weeping boys. Fourth placed FNB Orlando Pirates will be hoping to see off the challenge of new boys PC blue Boys who are in fifth position while the latter will be trying to close the five point gap between the two teams.
