If you are one of those people who aim to leave green footprints on the earth, In Season is just the magazine for you. It is a new Namibian green lifestyle magazine brought to local readers by Wardweaver Publishing and it is published and distributed monthly. The aim of the magazine is to lead Namibians to a more environmentally conscious and health conscious frame of mind. It mainly focuses on being green every day, which includes environmental issues, eco-friendly concepts such as reusing, recycling, reducing, using renewable energy and natural healing practices for your mind, body and soul.

The magazine carries a wealth of information on creating vegetable gardens and how to use and preserve the harvest. In Season aims for their readers to grow and change as they require and demand and give them a holistic sense of life. The magazine has a variety of contributors, all skilled in their particular field, including Steve Felton, of the World WildLife Fund (WWF), Liezl Hoving, a yoga instructor, Morgan Hauptfleisch, an ecological scientist, Sharon Kasanda and Javeneh Azadeh of Live the Balance fame. In Season was launched on 27 September last year with three editions published so far. Editor in Chief, Bryony van der Merwe told the Economist their have had incredible support from both advertisers and readers. Their fourth edition will be distributed at the end of January 2014. The publication is managed by Angi van Kaschke. Bryony van der Merwe is a Namibian who entered into the media industry of Namibia fifteen years ago and in 2012 she launched Wordweaver Publishing House ensuring top-quality service, expertise and commitment. Wordweaver Publishing House is Namibia’s first fiction publisher and has successfully published sixteen titles of local literature in the last year. Van der Merwe said she established Wordweaver to tap the incredible talent of Namibian writers and help them overcome the difficulties they face in getting published. She believes that there is a world-wide audience for their stories and their published books range from fiction and children stories to adult literature and include all genres. In Season and Wordweaver Publishing House are located in Windhoek at the Garten Street entrance of the Old Breweries Craft Centre Complex.
