Kia PTS Tennis tournie continues this weekend

After a successful first tournament in February the KIA PTA Tennis Series will once again own the court of the SKW over the coming weekend. The second of nine competitions will start with the Mini and Midi category on Friday at 14h30 and continue with Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced on Saturday, 08h00.
Competitors are facing each other in categories based on skill, disregarding gender and age, and are able to earn points at each tournament to advance in the overall ranking of the series. The amount of points awarded to players at each competition depend on the final position at the event as well as the category in which the player competes.
So far, Michiel van Zyl managed to take the lead in the Kia Tennis Ranking, 200 points ahead of runner up Robert Riethmueller. Oliver Diggle emerged as winner of the Intermediate category in the first contest and thus earned his third position in the overall ranking after the first event. Delvin Losper earned sufficient points with his win in the Beginner category to be placed sixth overall.
Total prize money of N$20,000 will be awarded at the end of the year to the top 3 players per gender in the overall ranking, as well as to three players that showed the greatest improvement in the ranking and advancement in skill level throughout the year.
