Trevor Noah hits Windhoek, shuns Walvisbay

Internationally famous South African comedian Trevor Noah is visiting the Land of the Brave next week. This time he will be bringing his latest offering, ‘That’s Racist’ comedy tour to local fans here in the capital. The tour kicked off in Pretoria on 09 September and then the funny man moved to Durban. He will grace the stage at the National Theatre on 24, 25, 26, 27 and 29 September, and then move back to Johannesburg and Cape Town where the tour will end on 27 October.
The comedian was born to a (white) Swiss father and (black) South African Xhosa mother on 20 February 1984. He had a small role on the South African soap opera, ‘Isidingo’ in 2002, when he was 18 years old and also in the Cape Town drama ‘Molo Fish’. He then began hosting his own radio show ‘Noah’s Ark’ on a Gauteng youth radio station, Yfm. Noah also hosted a gossip show on SABC1 named ‘The Real Goboza. He is currently living in the United States.
Noah is known to always deliver laughter even to the grumpiest of people. His material is always new, entertaining and insightful. He instantly and effortlessly takes control of the room when he steps on stage. Fans of the young comedian are in for a comical treat with jokes on race, his emigration to the US and even more of Noah’s funny foreign accents.
Public Relations Officer for the National Theatre of Namibia, Enid Johr said that tickets for the 29th are sold out but fans can still get tickets to see the funny man for the other shows.
Tickets are sold at the NTN box office for N$180.
