From journalist to ambassador
The first Namibian journalist to be awarded the Southern Africa Development Community media award, Jacqueline Hindjou-Mafwila, is the winner of the Windhoek Lager Ambassador initiative of February 2012. Jacqueline was awarded the SADC media award in 2009 for a story she compiled on the challenges faced by SADC journalists covering the effects and interventions of HIV/AIDS in the region. She encouraged Namibians to believe in their own capabilities and to make Namibia a better place for future generations to live in through education, economic growth and development opportunities.
