Bass angling competition produces winners

Catch of the day- Kai Ahrens caught the biggest bass weighing 2.985kg in the second Bank Windhoek Namibian Bass Angling Association Competition.

The Bank Windhoek Bass Angling Association Competition will continue on 12 April at Von Bach Dam after its successful second meeting in March. Winners of the last competition in the Men’s and Ladies sections included Max Pieper and Sonita Pienaar.
Pieper had caught four bass and won on points, scoring the highest points of all anglers, with a total of 6758. Pienaar on the other hand was the only lady to weigh any fish, scoring 2877 points.

Although Pieper won the Men’s section, it was Kai Ahrens who caught the biggest bass, weighing a decent 2.985kg.
Beside Max Pieper, the winners in the Men’s section were Anton Smit in 2nd place , and Reinhard Lagner took third honours, closely followed by Jacques Marais. The 5th position was held by Andre van Vuuren, followed by Neil Engelbrecht and then Kai Ahrens, who caught the biggest catch of the day. The bottom three anglers included Alec Williams, Max Schiebler, with Neels van Tonder in last position.
