The private German radio channel, Hitradio Namibia said it has expanded its broadcast to the coast as from this week.
“Exciting things are happening at Hitradio Namibia. As from Monday 24 March 2014, we are broadcasting live from our brand new studio in the coastal town of Walvis Bay. The coast is often overlooked by radio stations, which tend to cater more to the needs of Windhoek and surroundings. Not Hitradio Namibia,” said the vibrant CEO, Wilfried Haehner.

Explaining the radio station’s growing footprint, Haehner said, “To us, every single listener is important. Our studio in Walvis Bay is dedicated to bring the listener who lives at the coast, information from the coast. We even have a special motto: “For The Coast, At The Coast,”
The first broadcast started on Monday when Andreas Thieman went live on air live from 12h00 to 14h00 with the show “Namibia Am Mittag” (Namibia At Noon). This show is broadcast daily in the same time slot.
Haehner said Hitradio Namibia has its own production facilities available in Walvis Bay to conduct interviews, or to offer clients help and advice about radio advertising.
