Top South African stand-up comedian Nik Rabinowitz is not only very funny, he also has a list of achievements the likes of which many other artists can only dream of.
For instance, he once posed nude. Not because anyone asked him to, he just did it.
He represented South Africa at the Jewish Olympics, which is like the normal Olympics, but with more dentists and accountants.
He does an Archbishop Tutu impersonation so fine, that the Archbishop now uses him as a body double. Most impressively, he is universally agreed to be the finest Xhosa-speaking Jewish stand-up comedian in the entire world.
Over the past ten years Nik has established himself as one of Africa’s premier comics. International performances have included the UK, Holland, Australia, Canada, and most recently the USA.
He has performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the Edinburgh Festival and numerous other international comedy events.
Aside from all this, Nik’s major claim to fame is that he was born in a stable, and is one of only two Jewish boys in the last two thousand years to have done so.
Following an almost two month sold out run at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre, top South African comic Nik Rabinowitz brings his new one man show “STAND UP” to the National Theatre of Namibia.
Nik takes the Pistorius out of almost everything South African, in a riotous, gut-busting and “Oscar” winning performance. It`s so funny, it’s almost criminal.
