Every soccer lover’s attention will be fixed on the fixture between Orlando Pitares FC and Bidvest Namibia Cup defending champions African Stars.

Bidvest Namibia reaffirmed their commitment to developing football at an event recently held at the Soccer House on Tuesday.
The remaining participants in this year’s Bidvest Namibia Cup were on the receiving end when Bidvest Namibia Director: Commercial and Business Development, Mr Theo Mberirua handed over kits to the team representatives present at the event. Mberirua said, “In order to enhance the experience for both players and supporters, we provide give-aways such as branded hats and t-shirts to supporters, full kits as well as other items such as the Man of the Match trophies, ball boy kits, referee kits, tracksuits and additional kits for the finalists.

All of these elements enhance and elevate the game of soccer and we hope it will be an unforgettable experience for all the parties involved.” Secretary General of the Namibia Football Association Barry Rukoro reiterated Mberirua’s sentiments and said, “We commend our partners at Bidvest Namibia for this initiative of allocating all the participating teams in the Round of 16 with playing kits and assisting in the growth of our football.” The Cup competition resumed this week with teams competing in Windhoek, Gobabis, and Mariental. The highlight of this week’s matches is the much anticipated Katutura derby between Orlando Pirates FC and African Stars at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. Whilst Bee Bob Brothers have it all to play for when they face Citizens in front of a home crowd in Mariental on Saturday and Black Africa travel to the Cattle Country to take on Blue Birds at the Legare Stadium the same day.
