Bollywood comes to Namibia

An Indian film festival featuring popular Bollywood movies is part of the Namibia/India Cultural Exchange programme for 2014.
The Namibian government and the government of India in collaboration with The National Theatre of Namibia has made Bollywood comes to Namibia possible for Bollywood movie enthusiasts.
Bollywood is  the informal term popularly used for the Hindi Film and Music industry based in Mumbai, Maharashtra in India.

It is not only part of the total Indian film industry, which includes other production center’s producing films in multiple languages.
Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest centres of film production in the world.
The Film Festival will feature eight very popular Bollywood movies by well-known Bollywood film directors such as Aamir Khan, Subhash Ghai and Rajkumar Hirani.
The movies will be screened at the Roman Catholic Church Hall in Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue in Windhoek. Entrance is free.
 Screening will start on 31 January 2014 to 07 February 2014 excluding the 04 February 2014.
