Bob Mould, President of the Namibia Tennis Association and Clara Bohitile, FNB Foundation member shake hands on a great deal.

On Friday, 23 August 2013 FNB launched the Tennis Development Sponsorship and pledged an amount of N$ 456 000 towards the Namibia Tennis Association for the Tennis development programme in Windhoek.
Clara Bohitile, FNB Foundation member said that FNB Namibia values sport and the contribution it makes to any society and especially youngsters and that is why the bank is a leader in supporting sports codes in Namibia, including tennis.
“There are physical as well as psychological reasons to play tennis such as the development of discipline, management of mistakes, development of a work ethic and the like. Other sports can provide excellent health benefits and some can promote mental and emotional growth, none can compete with tennis in delivering overall physical, mental and emotional gains to those who play”
“Hence the reason FNB’s support towards tennis development. The support will benefit the youth who are our future leaders by using their time productively and having tennis as an extra mural activity,” said Bohitile.
FNB Namibia has been a supporter of tennis development for many years and has invested more than N$2 million in the development of this sport code.
