WIKA to kick off this weekend

The 2019 WIKA festivities will kick off on Saturday and run until 14 April under the theme ‘WIKA Konfetti. Alles Palletti.’

The annual Windhoek Karneval, better known as WIKA now in its 67th edition will take place with different activities on different days as follows: 30 March; Prinzenball 05 April; Street Procession 06 April; Youth Karneval 06 April; Kids Karneval 07 April; HeDaMA Ladies and Gentlemen’s Masked ball 10 April; International Evenings 12 and 13 April; Prunksitzung 13 April and the afterparty set for 14 April.

Chairman of the WIKA Committee, Holger Sircoulomb said the festival will be sponsored by the Ohlthaver & List Group at large, and Pick n Pay (PnP) Namibia; Windhoek Schlachterei; Weathermen & Co. and Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) – all subsidiaries of the O&L Group.

“Allow me to wholeheartedly, and on behalf of the Windhoek Karneval committee thank our sponsors for making the 2019 festivities possible.
