Tyres for Cancer

The Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) this week received a donation of N$67,720 from Quality Tyres Namibia. Quality Tyres contacted the association in October last year to raise funds for prostrate cancer awareness, as part of the Movember Campaign.
CEO of the Cancer Association, Reinette Koegelenberg expressed her gratitude to the company, “We are grateful that you care about Namibians. The tyres are bought for Namibians by Namibians” she said.
This gesture forms part of Quality Tyres’ efforts to create a positive impact on society and to contribute to the improvement in care of prostate cancer sufferers in Namibia. The company initiated a fund raising campaign in December last year in which every Bridgestone and Firestone tyre sold by any of its retail outlets to the public, N$10 isdonated to CAN, for the benefit of prostate cancer treatment.
