Afcon Cup visits Erongo

The Mayor of Swakopmund recently received the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Cup during a tour of the trophy in the Erongo region courtesy of Standard Bank who are sponsors of the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations Tournament. At the event, Rosina //Hoabes said it was befitting for the  trophy to pass through the Erongo Region as the region was the current holder of the Namibian Newspaper Cup. The Mayor added that although Namibia did not qualify for the next edition of the Orange Afcon Cup tournament, the hosting of the event by South Africa will significantly benefit the economies of the SADC Region.
