The National cricket team kicked-off their Sunfoil three-day first class campaign against South African provisional team, Boland at the WAP Affies fields in Windhoek this week.

The Sunfoil Series is the main domestic first class cricket competition in South Africa, first contested (as the Currie Cup) in 1889-90 with a total of 14 teams competing.
Namibia has so far competed nine times at the event with their best result coming from their first ever season in 2006 when they made the third place.
Sixteen-year old Lohan Louwrens will celebrate his debut for the Namibian team over the three days of action in the capital.
Just a day after, on 11 October, the Namibians will face the same opponent in the first List A match of this year’s CSA provisional 50 Over challenge. The game will take place at the Wanderers Cricket grounds in Windhoek.
