OK Foods Kavango in Rundu has something to celebrate this year. Despite challenging economic times, this formidable team has proved that success is possible after the store was named the best OK Foods supermarket in the Namibian division.
OK Foods Kavango is a member of the OK Franchise Division, a division of the Shoprite/Checkers group.
Jose Machado praised his team for winning the award. He said: “This honour proves that our effort gets recognised and that our hard work is worth the while. It inspires our team to keep on performing at national standards.”
Machado thanked the local community for their ongoing support.
To identify the winner, stores are judged over the course of the year on criteria that gives a complete overview of all the aspects of a leading retailer: growth, general store standards, customer service, staff motivation, service department offerings and displays, community involvement, administrative excellence and loyalty.
Focus is not merely on generating sales. The stores that come out on top after the judging process  are true examples of what retail excellence is all about. They have to show that they are serious about their customers (service and shopping experience), community and store appearance as well.
