Gondwana undertakes financial literacy

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote financial literacy among the extensive staff of Gondwana Collection was signed last week. The MOU is a joint co-operation to deliver financial education, through a FLI Financial Wellness Workplace Programme to employees of Gondwana Collection Namibia. It was signed by Mr. Francois Brand (left), the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) Secretariat Manager, and Ms. Silke Ahrens, Coordinator of Training and Education at Gondwana Collection. They were joined on this occassion by Gondwana employees. The Memorandum of Understanding outlines the training partnership and identifies key areas of joint activities and responsibilities between the two organizations. One of the key areas that have priority is monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the programme for further development. The Financial Literacy Initiative of the Ministry of Finance now works with more than 40 platform partners from the private, public and civil sectors with the aim of addressing and serving the needs in the area of financial literacy in a coordinated effort.
