Welwitschias inspire NFA

The Namibia football Association (NFA) officially congratulated the Namibia Rugby Union’s, the Welwitschias for their fifth successive Rugby World Cup qualification to the 2015 International Rugby Union world cup to be hosted in England.
The Welwitschias ease in defeating the Madagascar side 89-10 in Antananarivo on Sunday drew applause from the NFA’s Presdient  John Muinjo citing hard work and dedication to the squads success.
“They (Welwitschias) started badly with the defeat to Kenya but they bounced back to win against Zimbabwe and with on the pressure for them to do well on their final match, against the host Madagascar, they were true professionals and brave sons of the soil who were prepared to realize their dream by sweat or blood as they soldiered on and victory is ours as Namibians,” Muinjo acknowledged.

NFA Secretary General Barry Rukoro said his association takes a lot of inspiration from the spirited performance of the national rugby side as they time and again qualifies for the global showpiece. “The consistent performance of our country’s national rugby team is very inspirational and we can all take a leaf out of it and try to emulate what they always achieve. It was not an easy journey for them, but again they proved that despite meager resources, dedication and passion can carry you for the game you love and bring joy to your nation,” Rukoro said.
Namibia will now go into a 2015 Rugby World Cup Group C featuring world number ranked New Zealand, Argentina, Tonga and Georgia.
