Public Journal #001 “The Puzzle Piece”

The human mind is funny. If you have ever told yourself these words “It will be different this time.” Then this should reflect that certain characters stay on hook no matter how hard you try.
You wake up telling yourself this time it is going to be different. Your mind mocks you. you open your mouth, its the same annoying voice tone as yesterday, (the very same one you are using in your mind to read this sentence).
You walk outside, it’s the same annoying voice from your neighbour as well, she still owes you. Then you take your form of transportation to work or school or where it is that you go, and you still end up in the same destination as the day before.

Now, I’m not really sure how motivation works, but I think all these steady things in your life are the reasons you get discouraged to change. If every single thing, rapidly changes around you, as soon as you said the words “it will be different” this morning, then you would have no choice but to adapt anyway.
But as you have noticed by now, life is not fair, so why be fair? I mean, speak the language of life and being unfair to it then things will be equally fair. Get up and change the way you speak, change your job, damn it, even change your name. Wait… no, you won’t do it, its madness, what will people say?
People will always talk whether its good or bad, so how is that something new or something that should have an impact on you should worry them. When the change directly affects you and makes you happy, why not give it a shot?
Nonetheless people will stay the same, work will remain as it is the next day, it is up to you to decide to change one piece in the puzzle which is you, But people don’t want that. They don’t want you to change.
They want you to leave the puzzle the way it is because once you change; they are forced to change as well. But you can’t disregard the fact that some aspects of our lives will repeat on a daily basis no matter how much you change. Repetitiveness is an inevitable factor of human nature. We are speechless when asked why we do certain things constantly.
But you just have to decide which part of your life is the chorus, and then shape the rest around that. Think about it; you live long once you realise all this at a younger age. Once you discover how to get things done quicker – you live longer.
No, don’t drop out of what you doing now if you have no plan. That is Stupid. But what I am saying is to stay scheming! While in the present always consider the future!
If your work feels like work, then you are probably in the wrong career path. You are wasting your time. Pearl S Buck said “The secret of joy in work is contained in one word – excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it”. As Steve Jobs once said “I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”
So, fellow humans, where ever you are currently, put this paper down and go become the change you wish to see in the world.
