Social Security Commission officials prepare to embark on their Rundurura maintenance campaign.

Starting next week Monday, Social Security Commission’s officials will conduct the Rundurura maintenance campaign.
The Social Security Commission announced the start of a public wide education campaign called “Rundurura” meaning “fix it” in Rukwangali earlier this week.
Castro Tjizoo, Social Security Commission Communication Officer said, “The campaign is aimed at cleaning up and updating the Commission’s database, while various information sessions will be held with employers in strategic towns. The workshops are aimed at educating employers and members about the operations and activities of the Social Security Commission.”
Tjizoo said the Social Security Commission would share information with the employers on the capturing of wage returns, electronic data interface system, treatment of death benefits as well as social security benefits.

The campaign will also educate employers about new employees, collection of outstanding revenue, compliance inspections and general customer service issues.
“We will kick off on 9 June from 8h00 – 17h00 at the Kamanjab Village Council; 10 June at Khorixas Multisave; 11 June Gowati Lodge in Khorixas; 12 June at Etotongwe Lodge and Camping near Outjo and on 13 June at the Outjo Supermarket; 16 and 17 June in Tsumeb next to Engine Service Station and Makalani Hotel respectively and 18 and 19 June in Grootfontein and Meteor Holdings and Spar parking area. Our last stop will be Omuthyia at the U Save and Omuthiya Cultural Centre on 20 June,”he said.
