The three individual winners at the Namibia Music Awards (NAMA) has landed the distinguished honour of performing at the TribeOne Music Festival in Pretoria later this year.
As part of the prizes they won at last weekend’s NAMA’s, Erna Chimu, (Best Female of the Year), Gazza (Best Male of the Year) and Elvis Se Seun (Best Album of the Year) will offer their very best as part of the official main stage line-up at Africa’s biggest music festival in September at the TribeOne Music Festival.
This first of its kind collaborative music event by Sony Music Entertainment and Rockstar400 Music Entertainment, is set to take place in the city of Pretoria. Mimicking the massive rock ‘n roll event of the sixties, Woodstock, the inaugural TribeOne Music Festival starts on Friday 26 September and runs until Sunday 28 September. “This is Africa’s début on the global music festival circuit boasting a unique multi-day, multi-stage musical extravaganza yet to be experienced on the African soil” stated the organisers of TribeOne Music Festival.
“We are one of the sponsors and partners of the NAMAs. The three winners will have the opportunity to perform at Africa’s biggest music festival in September. These winners have an opportunity to showcase the talent they have on a global platform. They also form part of the official main stage line-up” they added.
The TribeOne Music Festival will feature over 350 artists and DJs across 62 stages. The targets of this entertainment initiative are in terms of tourism, skills development and training as well as job creation. The organisers said this project will not only create jobs in the short term but will provide a long-term, meaning full impact on the entertainment industry.
