NTTA hosts Master’s Cup in Wernhil shopping Mall

The Namibian Table Tennis Association will host their annual Master’s Cup this Saturday in the Wernhil shopping mall in Windhoek. The event will go underway in front of Pick N Pay and its main aim is to promote Table Tennis in Namibia.
“Since we are hosting the tournament at such a public venue, we hope to draw a big crowd and help promote our sport. It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come and see what Table Tennis is all about”, Heiko Fleidl, the NTTA secretary, said. Being an invitation event, only the top eight players of last year’s ranking have been invited as per NTTA rules and regulations. They are: Ramon Hansen, Heiko Fleidl, Ashley Julius, Reinardt Stanley, Reinolt Schurz, Fabian Tait, Rudi Saunderson and Wayne Green. It will be the third Master’s Cup since its inception in 2012. The NTTA hopes to get an entire series underway to be played in malls across the capital, from next year onwards. Furthermore, the NTTA has agreed to have one junior player participate at the next Master’s Cup.
