Action packed quarter finals

The Bidvest Cup Namibia announced the teams that will participate in the quarter final games in a draw held in Windhoek this week. The last two games of the Round of 16 of the Bidvest Cup Namibia took place last week Wednesday when Kaizen Football Academy played against Ramblers and FNB Orlando Pirates played against African Stars.

The results of the draw saw the top three teams, Black Africa, Tigers and African Stars who currently lead the MTC Premiership log being pitted with underdogs. In the draw giants Black Africa are to take on Tura Magic in what promises to be a potential thriller. African Stars was then paired with underdogs Mountain Rangers. First division outfit Citizens will have a date with minnows from the second division Kaizen Football Academy and the winner will be guaranteed a spot in the semi-final. Lastly United Stars have a date with the Tigers who are currently occupying the top spot on the MTC Premiership log. Speaking at the draw Theo Mberirua, Director Commercial and Business Development at Bidvest Namibia said that this football cup was now moving into the interesting final moments and anticipation was rife. Mberirua said,“We look forward to more great soccer and we are impressed with the standard of play of the lower division teams. I am sure that the action will become even more exciting now that the teams, who have battled to get to the third last round, will face each other.”
