“With Smart Banking our customers can download the Smart apps free of charge by going to their local Google Play or App Store. Not only is this kind of banking convenient, but it is secure and you can do it anytime, anywhere with access to banking at your fingertips.
The latest launch is simply to add value to the banking needs of our customers,” says Standard Bank’s Head of Personal and Business Banking, Baronice Hans.
With smart banking, Standard Bank customers can easily download the app and enjoy endless benefits. “These benefits and features from the Standard Bank Smart Banking app are that you can check your account balance, view the last five transactions which have taken place on your account through a mini statement, move money between your accounts through inter-accounts transfers and send money to friends and family members through beneficiary payments,” adds Hans. Other additional benefits of Standard Bank’s Smart Banking app includes an ATM and Branch locator, a Vehicle and Asset Finance Calculator, a Home Loan Repayment Calculator as well as a Home Loan Affordability Calculator. “Digital technology moves at a lightning pace and our customers can already look forward to a further upgrade to Smart Banking with the launch of version 2.0 in 2014. As new technology is developed, Standard Bank Namibia will continue to meet our customers’ evolving needs,” Hans concluded.
