The Namibian winners of the German language competition left for Germany this week. Late last week, Jana Wall from the German Embassy congratulated the winners of the German language competition and bid them farewell before their flight to Germany Their 4- week stay in Germany will help to improve their knowledge of the German language, the country and its culture.
The four students, Natascha Tjaveondja, Cassandra Blockstein, Uaripi Tjihero and Lelanri Jacobs won this year’s German language competition and were invited by the “Pädagogische Austauschdienst” (PAD) to visit Germany. This provides them with the opportunity to get to know Germany and its people.
The students left on Monday. They will spend some time with German families, attend language courses and visit a German school. They are coached by staff members of the PAD during their stay.
