Bank Windhoek launches Annual BizzKids Competition
The Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition’s main objective is to educate the Namibian youth about entrepreneurship and give the young entrepreneurs an opportunity to enter a competition whereby they can win one of 10 exhibition stands at the Bank Windhoek Kidz Fun Fair and Family Expo. At this year’s expo, the judges will award the top three stands with cash prizes of N$ 5000, N$ 3000 and N$ 2000 respectively. The school of the winning pupil(s) will also receive a cash prize of N$ 5000.
In order to create awareness Bank Windhoek will also hold presentations at various schools across the country, to provide more information about the competition to the learners. “The BizzKids Competition is part of Bank Windhoek’s contribution to the development and growth of Namibia’s economy by creating youth that is willing to take risks and think beyond traditional ways of doing business. It is imperative for Namibia to encourage entrepreneurship among the youth in order to install entrepreneurial values at a young age”. said Marlize Horn, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek. “The competition allows the youth to design creative business plans and win the opportunity to put it to the test.”
