Ke Nako for Kalahari Son
After many years of hard work, and with three albums to his name, last year saw him receiving the RFI Discoveries Award, for which he competed with more than 500 artists from all over Africa and the Indian Ocean. As part of the prize, the ‘Son of the Kalahari’ embarked on a 3-month tour of 24 countries in eastern, western and southern Africa, presenting a total of 30 shows, including one in Paris, France.
The artist is accompanied by his four-piece band, Ermelinda Thataone on vocals and shakers, Polina Loubnina on the flute, Samuel Batola on guitar and vocals, and Moses Saize on percussions. With a versatile repertoire of meditative melodies and messages for our modern times, Elemotho promises not only to move your feet but also your soul for he hits with words and chords that carry a power beyond bullets and hunger. Ke Nako, the time is now!
The Ke Nako Tour visited Ghana, Senegal, Benin, Mauritania, France, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, Niger, Congo Brazzaville, Madagascar, Lesotho, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Angola, and ends in Namibia.Info box
