The 2013 Classic Clashes games were launched in Windhoek, this week. The launch took place at St Paul’s College, where the guests were welcomed by the school principal,  Mrs Becky Njoze-Ojo.
The national co-ordinator of Namibia School Sports Union, Solly Duiker, gave an overview and background of the Classic Clashes. “The Classic Clashes is a competition in sports between rival schools which was started in 2008, an Initiative of FNB Namibia,” said Duiker. “The event is aimed at developing the sports amongst the youth.” This year’s event will see 14 schools participate in three different sports codes namely Rugby, Netball and Football.
