The Bible Society of Namibia (BSN) launched their new bible shop in Ongwediva recently.
According to Hon. Jason Asino, Mayor of Ongwediva, who delivered a speech at the grand opening, the BSN has contributed to the community of Ongwediva by opening the bible shop and thus supporting all Christians in Ongwediva to be able to read about God and  the Holy Spirit.
“The bible shop Ongwediva is part of a bigger dream, a dream to have a Bible Society present in all of our major towns, to ensure that we become truly accessible for people, communities and churches that want to obtain Scriptures. With this, our prayer is also that, where people have access to the Word of God, it will speak into their lives and transform individuals and communities,” said Mr Wylie Upi, the Chairperson of the BSN Board of Directors, in his speech.

Other attendees of the event included developers of the newly built Maroela Mall, Mr Gerome and Mrs Amalia Schmidt; Treasurer of the BSN Board of Directors, Mr Hendrik Grové. There were also delegates of various Churches in Namibia as well as the staff of the BSN.
The Mayor and Chairperson cut the ribbon to open the doors of the new bible shop in Maroela Mall. The bible shop will have bibles in all the major languages of Namibia, daily devotional materials, bible stories for children, gifts, hymnals, audio bibles and a number of other Scripture-based literary products.
