Bank Windhoek stays tops

Managing Director of Bank Windhoek, Christo de Vries, Bank Windhoek was recently honoured with the “Best Bank in Namibia” award by EMEA Finance, an economics magazine that covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This award has been announced at a ceremony held last week in London.
“Despite the unpredictable economic environment during 2011-2012, Bank Windhoek has once again shown positive results. Bank Windhoek’s existence continues to be characterized by a strong commitment to fulfilling its role as a partner in the development, economic growth and prosperity of Namibia. These facts are being recognized by international publications, such as EMEA Finance”, said Managing Director Christo de Vries.
De Vries added that many factors are taken into consideration when banks are being recognized by international publications, such as EMEA Finance. “We would not have received this award without the support of our clients and the trust they bestowed upon us”, he concluded.
According to Emeafinance, Namibia did not escape the global downturn. But this has not stopped Bank Windhoek, Namibia’s second largest bank, from lending. Its continued support of local businesses has led us to name it Namibia’s best bank. Bank Windhoek’s innovation is matched by its continuous expansion, and today it has the largest retail branch and ATM networks in Namibia, with more expansions planned for the coming financial year.
