Run for charity this weekend

Namibia Runs for Charity – a sporting event that raise money for charitable purposes – will take place this Saturday at the Independence Arena in Katutura.
The first edition of this event was held last year with the help of 250 athletes who raised over N$52 000 for charity. This year organisers are looking forward to a bigger and better event where participants will again show their compassion to humanity while having fun.
To participate, runners have to organize sponsorship from friends, family and work colleagues which they will donate for every lap they complete. By taking part in the event, participants will not only help the needy but also stand a chance to win fantastic prizes which will be awarded for most laps completed and for raising the highest amount of money.

The event starts at 9 am and ends 4 pm. Participants can run or walk as many laps as they want, and the total money they raise will be donated to a project or an organisation of their choice.
A great entertainment program has been lined up. They will be top hip-hop performances by Equipped Dance Academy and Sean K as well as the Aris choir and many more other artists.
