Beach volleyball series produces athletic point winners

Steffi Förtsch and Rudi Steinbach competed in their first tourney at the 7th Timeout Beach Volleyball Series held last weekend at DTS Beach Arena.

The duo according to the organisers managed a fantastic 3rd place in the Social category. The event attracted 35 teams, in the following categories; 2-a-side Men’s, Ladies, Social, Youth Mixed, Experienced Mixed, Social Mixed and 4-a-side Mixed.

James Verrinder, Series and Tournament Director said the fast-passed tournament provided the audience with many exciting rallies, great defence and athletic point winners.

 Special mentions also goes out to Fabian Pfeifer and Rosi Hennes for winning 3 categories each, the Men’s, Experienced Mixed & 4-a-side (Fabian), Ladies, Experienced Mixed and 4-aside (Rosi)”.

The other results at the event are as follows:

4-a-side : 1st Non-Four-Feiters, 2nd Gunners and 3rd Faule Säcke

2-a-side Social: 1st Shikesho Gideon Sunny & Simon Ekandjo, 2nd Tobias Mwatelulo & Kuda Mutasa and 3rd Niklas Gerber & Nino Leicher

2-a-side Youth: 1st Lara Luesse & Yannick Bohn, 2nd Ricco Seebach & Sonja Sieburg and 3rd Svenja Hecht & Mirco Kreiss

Meanwhile, the remaining Timeout Beach Volleyball Series 2017 dates are: #RedBullNamibia King& Queen of the Beach – 16 September, DTS Beach Arena, Windhoek, Fabupharm Swakop Masters – 4 to 5 November, Mole Beach, Swakopmund and Namib Rage Events Beach Bash Volleyball – 22 December, Long Beach, Walvis Bay.
