Protect sensitive hardware from power spikes and interruptions with an Eaton UPS from Rob Mcglees

A small Windhoek-based hardware company has just secured the official backing of the only manufacturer it has represented since 2013.

Frank Coetzee, the only member of Rob Mcglees Engineering announced recently his company is now the authorizied service provided for the renowned Eaton brand for Uninterrruptible Power Supplies, or UPSs as they are commonly known in the office.

“The potential market demand of UPS units in Namibia was always there, it just lacked back-up support, maintenance, installation, correct specifications, correct analysis of product, upgraded software, repair centre, SLA agreements, warranty services, safety installations, first line training, and knowledge of specific systems, states Coetzee on his website.

Rob Mcglees Engineering has been an Eaton UPS supplier since 2013. This partnership was taken to the next level recently when Eaton South Africa announced that Rob Mcglees in now both official supplier and service agent.

This agreement builds on Eaton’s regional growth strategy and dedication to invest in its partner ecosystem.

As of July, Rob Mcglees is not only a distributor of the Eaton UPS product range but is also equipped to manage product commissioning, solve troubleshooting issues and provide service under the product warranty agreement. Rob Mcglees is also authorized to negotiate, sign and manage the maintenance contracts on behalf of Eaton.

“Rob Mcglees were identified as a trusted partner to enter this venture with Eaton as a result of their demonstrated efficiency and proficiency in previous projects, making them the leading choice for support in the region,” said Abel Martins, Eaton’s Africa Service Manager.

Eaton said it has trained local technicians and will continue to invest in Rob Mcglees as a valued strategic partner by supporting them technically with product information, on-going staff training and spares supply to ensure fast turnaround time for customers.

Rob Mcglees Engineering sells and service the complete Eaton UPS range including the robust 9PHD unit for marine applications. Some of the larger, industrial UPSs are specified for applications up to 400kVA.
