Basson scales heights

Business Connexion Namibia has appointed Edison Basson as Deputy Managing Director. He will deputise for Ferdi Graupe for a transitional period. It is envisaged that he will take over the position of Managing Director.
Rodwell Zvayari, Group Executive International at the Business Connexion Group says: “Edison has all the qualities that we need to take Business Connexion Namibia to greater heights. Because he is originally from Namibia and understands the dynamics of the country, his appointment will not only be beneficial to us, but also to the business environment as well as the Namibian community at large.”
Basson who is a dedicated ICT professional with 15 years experience has been with Business Connexion Namibia for over two years as an Account Executive. He was directly responsible for Public Sector business development.
Prior to joining Business Connexion Namibia,he worked at Absa Namibia, FNB Namibia, National Housing Enterprise, Old Mutual Namibia as well as the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation .
“Being born and bred in Namibia gives me an added advantage as I do not only understand the business environment of Namibia, but also the challenges faced by our communities. I am continuously seeking to contribute in a meaningful way to this country’s development priorities and this appointment will give me the opportunity to do just that.” said Basson.
His past roles spanned across ICT Service Delivery, Systems Administration as well as ICT Operations Management. Basson is trained and certified in various aspects of ICT including Enterprise Architecture, ICT Infrastructure Management, ICT Project Management as well as in general management.
