The first Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) Career fair was officially opened on Wednesday. Themed ‘Sustainable Innovation’, schools from all across the country brought their learners to the fair to experience firsthand what a university atmosphere feels like and to get to talk and interact with companies that they would want to be employed by in the future. The guest speaker at the opening ceremony was Mr Erwin Tjipuka, Managing Partner of Deloitte Namibia. He encouraged the pupils to always follow their dreams and to show perseverance. Students from the university’s hotel school, under the guidance of their lecturer, Chef Ralf Hergott (centre) showed the visiting learners the tricks of their trade.
