PTA series action resumes after break

The Pro Tennis Academy’s (PTA) Tennis Series will return to action on 12 and 13 February at the WHS fields in Windhoek after the summer break.
This is the only series in the country where participants play according to their skill set, rather than their age. The series will comprise of a total of nine tournaments throughout the year and this was confirmed by PTA’s head coach, Romeo van Wyk.
The near two-month absence from training and series action was used by van Wyk and his team to significantly increase memberships following last year’s success. According to the coach, more than 30 players have already joined by this week with more expected to sharpen their tennis skills under van Wyk’s guidance in the coming weeks.
“The new year started off very well and we are very excited to see what 2016 has in store for us” van Wyk said.
Although the total amount of players for the upcoming weekend’s tournament have not yet been confirmed, spectators will have a lot to look forward to as some of Namibia’s best talents showcase their skills.

It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
