SA, Botswana to battle it out in 2016 Cosafa Final

South Africa will take on Botswana in the 2016 Cosafa final on Saturday, after both teams progressed in their respective matches played on Wednesday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
South Africa came from a goal down to beat 10-man Swaziland, while Botswana yet again pulled through penalties beating DR Congo.
Before the final of the tournament, Swaziland and DR Congo will also meet on Saturday at 15h00 in the third-place playoff match.
Hosts, Namibia will seek to save face after prematurely been knocked out by Botswana in the quaterfinals, when they lock horns with Zambia on Friday at Sam Nujoma Stadium for the the Plate Final.
The tournament organizers have decided to treat the fans as far as witnessing the action on the final two days of the competition is concerned.
“You buy a ticket for the Plate final on Friday between Namibia and Zambia and you are guaranteed another one for Saturday’s third place and final matches of the Cosafa Castle Cup 2016,” said LOC Chairperson, Roger Kambatuku.
Meanwhile, the Cosafa Castle Cup Plate Final on Friday will be preceded by a curtain raiser involving Namibia’s under-17 against their Botswana counterparts in the 2017 CAF U/17 AFCON Qualifier match at 14h00 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
