Culture sprouts at /Ae//Gams Festival

The Mafwe traditional dance troupe in their reed costumes from the Zambezi Region is set to delight the visitors to the /Ae//Gams arts festival which started this week in the capital.

The popular arts festival offers a blend of Namibian cultures and diversity in one place, offering culture, arts and entertainment but keeping it strictly indigenous. The /Ae//Gams festival is also a platform for SME’s to market their products and artefacts such as bags, shoes, clothes, jewellery, pottery, curios and art. Food and beverages are available aplenty. The event is supported by both Standard Bank and FNB. (Photograph by Jenny Sitole)
