Independence Archery shoot

The Archery Association of Namibia (AAN) is gearing up to host its annual Independence Shoot this weekend at the SKW archery range.

As usual, the Compound and Recurve shooters will battle it out in multiple age categories. The event is open to all member clubs and registered archers of the Archery Association of Namibia, as well as other registered Compound/Recurve archers of Member Associations of the Federation of African Archery (FAA). The tournament will be held over the coming weekend. On Friday 20 March, all participants will meet for practice and undergo bow inspection. On Saturday all archers will compete head-to-head in a 1440 Round wherein each participant will shoot at four different distances. Sunday’s competition consists of a 720 Round and eliminations. According to their scores in the 720 Round, the participants will be ranked for the elimination rounds and medal matches. The public is welcome to attend and there is no cost for admission.
