Jews in SWA, Nam

The Windhoek Hebrew Congregation has published and released a book titled Jewish Life in South West Africa  Namibia – A History. This account of the Jewish contribution to the history of Namibia has been long in the making, and is now finally available. It is the ultimate record of the Jewish community from German colonial times to Namibian Independence.  The book covers specific contribution of Jews to the economic, cultural and educational developments in SWA/Namibia, and a section on important Jewish families. It also tells loose tales of graves and other Jewish interests. The book is available at Orumbonde Books in the Craft Centre in Windhoek.
