Elemotho live at the Warehouse Theatre

20 June 2014, 20:00

The travelling troubadour from the Kalahari, Elemotho will entertain the Windhoek audience again later this month at the Warehouse Theatre with his Afro-rock outfit of four musicians. Elemotho has established a tradition to bring his latest concert first to a local audience before taking it on tour. “As is tradition, before going on tour, Elemotho is going to present his sound at Windhoek’s hottest concert spot. Expect a show where Rock meets acoustic Afrika, where psychedelic electric guitar riffs meet meditative melodies” the Warehouse Theatre said this week announcing Elemotho’s concert and his upcoming tour. “Catch Elemotho and band on 20 June at the Warehouse Theatre before he departs to one of the biggest World Music Festival on the globe, WOMAD Festival in the UK (www.womad.co.uk). Elemotho said he would like to extend his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the government for sponsoring his trip to the UK, through the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s Directorate of Arts. They are taking care of his flight and accommodation in England. Tickets can be purchased in advance for N$90 through the Stay Today Namibia website: www.staytoday.com.na/events or at the door for N$100.
