Capricorn Investment Holdings board appointment
Sanlam Investment Management boss, Tega Shiimi ya Shiimi, has joined the Capricorn Investment Holdings board as non-executive director.
Shiimi ya Shiimi currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Investment Management (SIM), a position he has held since January 2007. Prior to this he held various senior roles, which included Chief Operating Officer / Business Development Executive for Sanlam Investment Management, Manager: Operations for Tasc Administration Namibia and Manager: Broker Services for NAMLIFE from 1999 to 2001. During his working career Mr Shiimi ya Shiimi served on the boards of a number of companies and institutions. These include being Chairman of the Namibia Financial Services Charter Council, the Investment Managers’ Association of Namibia (IMANI) as well as for the Investment Industry Committee on Regulatory changes to the Pensions Fund and Long term Insurance Acts. He also serves on the boards of Sanlam Investment Management Namibia, SALT Essential IT, Sanlam Life Namibia and JHI Properties Namibia.
