Insurance premiums help children learn
Welwitschia donated another N$10,000 for clothing, food, toys and many other items to the community-based organisation. They also received gardening tool kits for identified families.
“We strongly believe that, with the little that we have handed over today, we will make a difference in the lives of the children and their families,” said Riaan Vermeulen, Managing Director of Welwitschia Nammic Insurance Brokers.
HISA Namibia was founded in 2002 for children living in poverty and those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the informal settlements of Katutura. The organisation cares for over 500 children and runs feeding, schooling and family support programmes.
Hope Initiative was identified by People of Purpose, a Welwitschia staff social responsibility drive. The group collect food stuff and clothing from Wlwitschia employees and clients who are willing to donate items to organisations that support vulnerable children in marginalised communities.
