Bank Windhoek together with Republikein newspaper will again host their annual Motor Show with an interesting twist this year – there are so many special deals, any prospective vehicle owner can drive away in a new car.

The 7th Motor Show will take place in conjunction with the popular Namibia Tourism Expo from 29 May to 1 June 2013, at the Windhoek Show Grounds.
According to the Managing Director of Bank Windhoek, Christo de Vries, the motor show provides a platform of convenience and variety in the sense that prospective buyers can view a variety of vehicle brands and models in one place. The motor vehicle industry also benefits from this platform and the unique selling opportunity presented to them. But, it also demonstrates Bank Windhoek’s commitment to building and strengthening its relationship with all stakeholders in the motor vehicle industry.
He said the motor show has become an important fixture on the Namibian motoring calendar as it presents an excellent opportunity for aspiring car owners, as well as car owners who wish to upgrade or add to their precious fleet of cars, to acquire the car of their dreams.
“The success of the Motor Show is not only reflected in the increase recorded in the number of visitors to the Motor Show and Expo, but has also been registered in our records. Over the years, we have seen a positive increase in vehicle and asset finance applications at the Motor Show. The significance and impact of the Motor Show cannot be underestimated given these results. Its success has contributed to position Bank Windhoek as the country’s market leader in the competitive and challenging vehicle and asset finance market,” said de Vries.
He further said the fact that it is the seventh annual Motor Show is testimony that it is a winning recipe for the bank as financing partner, but more importantly, for the vehicle dealers.
“If we can go by the success of the previous six Motor Shows, and the enthusiasm amongst the dealerships again this year, we can expect yet another successful event,” he said.
Executive officer of Retail Banking Services, Chris Matthee said because the Motor Show is a convenient ‘One-Stop Shop’ for potential car owners, it has brought in many sales for both the bank  and participating dealers.
“This is truly a remarkable opportunity for dealers and we thank you for seeing the importance of being a part of it. This year, we will not disappoint our clients. We will once more run our competitions and have a fully functional office at the Tourism Expo, ensuring that all transactions run as smoothly as possible,” he said.
Bank Windhoek will also run a competition in which 10 lucky clients who finance their vehicles at the show, can each win one of 10 weekend breakaway packages to participating lodges, irrespective of which of the financing options the client has chosen.
Participating dealers will showcase a number of vehicle brands: Audi, Alfa Romeo, BMW, C.A.M., Chery, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Citroen, Daihatsu, DFSK, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Foton, Geely, Hyundai, Isuzu, Iveco, Jaguar, John Deere, Jeep, KIA, Land Rover and Range Rover, Mahindra, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, SsangYong, Suzuki, TATA, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
The annual Namibia Tourism Expo, now in its 15th year, has enjoyed a steady growth of quality visitors each year. The organisers said they embrace the challenges of 2013 and will stay ahead of the game by introducing fresh elements and including innovative ideas to attract an ever-changing market.
