Cancer – take note and be aware!

Madri Frewer of FNB and Magda Schlechter from the Cancer Association of Namibia with learners from Windhoek Gymnasium and Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaat Skool at the launch of the cancer booklet The Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) this week launched the cancer booklet with the financial support of FNB. The cancer bookie may be small but it carries a very powerful message. Its main aim is to spread cancer awareness through an easy and accessible medium on a popular level. The booklet targers Grade 6to9 learners and is written in a language that children can easily understand. It will be distributed to all schools across the country. Learners can take part in a competition at the back of the booklet and stand a chance to win MP4 players as well as airtime vouchers.
