Vester Burmeister from Windhoek became the first winner of the weekly N$40,000 prize MultiChoice is giving away in their campaign to reward subscribers who pay their accounts. The first draw took place in February and weekly draws will continue until 10 April.
“I couldn’t believe it when I got the phone call that I had won, I didn’t have to do anything but just make sure my DStv subscription is paid!”said Burmeister. The winner of the second draw is Christelle Kotze also from Windhoek, and with the third draw, Mr. N Kakuuai from Omaruru struck luck. He said he is going to buy himself a bakkie with his N$40,000.
MultiChoice Namibia has given away a total of N$200,000 in the ongoing DStv subscription rewards promotion.
To be considered for the weekly draw, all that subsribers have to do is to ensure that their subcriptions are paid up.
Whenever a subsriber pays his or her subscription fee during the duration of the competition, he or sh is automatically entered for the weekly draw of N$40,000. All Dstv subsribers are considered for the draw regardless of the bouquet they subscribe to.
To make the incentive scheme even more attractive, MultiChoice said some of the winners walking away with cash prizes will be filmed for inserts that will be screened during the hit game show THE MONEY DROP on AfricaMagic and AfricaMagic Entertainment.
General Manager of MultiChoice Namibia, Roger Gertze said “The rationale for this campaign is to make a difference in our subscribers’ lives. It is humbling to note and see the transformation this money will make for most of them. We encourage all our subscribers to embrace this campaign, stay connected and stand a chance to win N$40,000, or a year’s free DStv subscription.”
This is week five of the campaign, and the campaign is applicable to all subscribers regardless of the bouquet they subscribe to provided they stay connected between until 10 April.
So far, four Dstv subscribers have won a full year’s free Dstv subscription on their current bouquet, just by watching their favorite shows in a competition dubbed Spot the Box. MultiChoice invited viewers to tune in and watch out for a blue DStv Rewards Box to pop up on screen.
When the box appears, subsribers must simply send an SMS to the competition hotline (details on screen and at www.dstv.com) with their name.
Current winners are Bruce Coetzee from Rosh Pinah, Jojina Gombera from Windhoek, Mervin Wiggill from Walvis Bay and Mr. Tafara.
