Dimension Data in Garten Inc 2012 report

Dimension Data this week announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS) 2012 report.
Compiled by Gartner analysts, the Magic Quadrant examined 21 vendors of IT services for business communications systems worldwide, employing two main evaluation criteria. These include ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision’.
Dimension Data CEO, Brett Dawson said: “We are extremely proud to be positioned in the Magic Quadrant and be recognised for our ability to execute and completeness of vision.
“While providing our clients with quality services has been Dimension Data’s core business for decades, we constantly strive to further build our foundation and grow our leadership position in the ICT services market.
Dawson added that  Dimension Data has made a number of strategic investments. The Group acquired the world-class telecom expense management company, Xigo to accelerate its offerings in the managed communications space.
“In addition, we developed a strong enterprise mobility execution capability to enhance our ability to offer innovative solutions that address the entire spectrum of our clients’ managed communications needs. Furthermore, we launched our Cloud Solutions Business Unit, doubling our cloud revenues as well as increasing our client base for cloud services to over 2000,” he added.
Dawson noted that being positioned as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services 2012 report comes on the eve of the launch of the next version of the company’s enhanced support service, Uptime. Uptime provides organisations with a support offering that helps them manage the full lifecycle of their IT environment and optimise IT support spend. Dimension Data is the first systems integrator to come to market with proactive support services for multi-vendor environments.
“Our global scale, footprint and reach, combined with our ability to offer our clients a complete suite of global services − consulting, procurement, professional, support, IT outsourcing and now managed ICT services − is unmatched in the marketplace, and the Group remains focused on becoming the number one services-led systems integrator in the world,” Dawson said.
