First IPM conference a success

President of the Institute for People Management (IPM) in Namibia, Tim Ekandjo has described the recently held IPM Convention as a huge success.
The first IPM Convention in Namibia took place from 21 to 23 November at a Windhoek hotel. It was officially opened by Prime Minister Nahas Angula who is also the IPM Namibia patron while Alpheus Muheua, deputy Minister of Labour spoke about the role, opportunities and challenges of Human Resource Development in Africa.
The convention drew large sections of the local human resources community as well as people management and marketing gurus from around the continent. It discussed the status quo in people management, challenges and mechanisms to redress these challenges through effective people management.
According to Ekandjo, all the speakers, local and foreign, were value for money while the participants expressed satisfaction with the overall quality of the convention.
