Damara/Nama radio service to host ‘Kaisames’ Fun Day

NBC’s Damara/Nama radio service will host a fun day in the honour of the popular radio programme, ‘Kaisames’, at the Katutura Youth Complex to celebrate culture and its listeners.

The event is happening under the theme ‘taking radio to people’ and will run from 22 to 24 September at 10h00 on all the days.

The aim of the fun day is to create an opportunity for listeners to interact with their radio personalities and also to increase the level of participation of youth on radio. It is furthermore aimed at increasing listener-ship in accordance of the Radio Modernization Strategy (RMS) respectively,” Jackey !Gaoseb, News and Programming producer at the station said.

The weekend is divided into three segments, namely the Traditional Day which will promote the Damara/Nama culture, a sports day and a Gospel Music show.

Members of Parliaments, City of Windhoek Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ministers and higher ranking listeners of Kaisames confirmed to join us at the official opening.

After the official opening, the event will continue with soccer and netball games and this would be a live broadcast from the scene where Parliamentarian Women (MP’s) will also play netball against the NBC.

On Sunday, we will close our event with the Gospel Show accordingly,”!Goaseb said.
