Protein relief for old age home

A Meatco donation of 80kg fresh meat came as a welcome surprise to the residents of the Katutura Old Age Home. Seen here with Economist page designer, Waldo Husselmann (right), the elderly were overcome with joy when the gift arrived. At the recent Meatco media braai, the Economist team won the privilege of picking a charity of its choice, to be the recipient of the Meatco donation and the Katutura Old Age Home was subsequently selected.
